Priorities of the method
All Savvy Ed levels are designed around the concept of the “snowball effect”, or the gradual build-up of content covered, which facilitates memorisation and consolidation of the language material through innovative structuring and regular repetition. Whatever the level, Savvy Ed classes are full of carefully designed activities that promote comprehensive language development and help students build intrinsic motivation.

Savvy Ed 1
ages 8-9
Children master English reading skills and expand their vocabulary. Through language games and activities, they improve their ability to communicate in English.

ages 9-10
Students improve their writing skills and become more independent. With the help of a role model character who travels the world and a carefully designed evaluation system, they develop intrinsic motivation.

Savvy Ed 3
ages 10-11
Students develop fluency in English in a variety of situations while starting to consciously use grammar concepts. Their pronunciation improves and their language skills are well above the standard for this age group.

Savvy Ed 1
Designed for students aged 8-9 (2nd-3rd grade) who are continuing their English education.
Priority is given to COMMUNICATION and the gradual development of a high level of READING competency. Learning takes place through fun and engaging language games, and by reading the letters sent by Savvy Ed, children can expand their knowledge of the world around them. The comprehensive, varied course content is compatible with the Cambridge English pre-A1 Starters exam.
Savvy Ed 1A/1B
Half-levels for students aged 8-9 (2nd-3rd grade).
Designed to cover the content of the Savvy Ed 1 level over two years, focusing on the same priorities (reading and communication) and using the same teaching materials and techniques. This ensures that students who joined the Teddy Eddie programme at a later stage, or who have previously learnt with other methods, can work at their optimum pace and continue on to the Savvy Ed 2 course after completing Savvy Ed 1B. The comprehensive, varied course content is compatible with the Cambridge English pre-A1 Starters exam.
Savvy Ed 2
Designed for students aged 9-10 (3rd-4th grade). Students continue their language education and consolidate previously acquired skills.
Priority is given to communication and the gradual development of a high level of writing competency. Learners become even more independent as they engage in communication activities, and our well-designed grading system helps them build intrinsic motivation to learn English. The course content is compatible with the Cambridge English A1 Movers exam.
Savvy Ed 3
Designed for students aged 10-11 (4th-5th grade).
This level prioritises the integration of all the language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing. We also start to focus on grammar accuracy. Students develop fluency in English in a variety of communicative situations while starting to consciously use grammar concepts. The course content is compatible with the Cambridge English A2 Flyers exam.
An ambitious educational pathway
Savvy Ed, an English programme for children aged 8-11, is the second stage of our learning pathway. It is followed by the Edward’s League method intended for 11 to 14-year-olds. Younger children aged 2-7 can benefit from our Teddy Eddie method.
